CLINICAL MASSAGE IN SCOTTSDALE
Results. Not Routines.
Scottsdale Therapeutic & Sports Massage is committed to providing individualized, clinically-reasoned massage. When Allison established the business in 2019, she did so with the goal of providing the kind of massage she likes to receive: decisive pressure applied with the intent to restore proper function to soft tissue. She and her staff therapists specialize in working with clients to achieve specific outcomes in injury prevention, injury recovery, and overall normalization of soft tissue.
ALLISON, OWNER AND LMT
Allison's specialty is therapeutic/clinical massage. She has been a licensed massage therapist since 2015, and opened Scottsdale Therapeutic & Sports Massage in 2019 after relocating to Scottsdale from the east coast. She started out her professional life as a tax lawyer, practicing 18 years before retraining as a massage therapist. As a weekend warrior and frequent consumer of massage services, she has strong opinions on the difference between a tuned-in massage and a wholly generic one, and resolved to be a therapist who listens to her hands. She quickly gravitated toward the more clinical applications of massage, studying neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, and orthopedic massage. She brings an analytical, methodical approach to each client's condition and goals, and enjoys feeling muscles change in texture and tone under her hands.
Cheri's specialty is Lomi Lomi/Myofascial Massage. Her initial schooling was in Sedona, where she undertook 100 hours of connective tissue (fascia) training, and then progressed to a career in Hawaii, where she learned authentic Lomi Lomi technique and spent several years working on local surfers and tourists alike. She uses medium pressure to assess her clients' fascia, and then employs firmer pressure to restore normal function and movement to the tissue and to relieve chronic pain.
Grace's specialty is therapeutic/clinical massage. She has been a licensed massage therapist since 2013, and has sustained a passion for massage from the first day she discovered how much its therapeutic side can help people. She has worked with many types of clients, from pro athletes to those suffering from chronic pain, and has had the pleasure of restoring her clients' abilities to do what they love in life. She specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, and post-injury massage. She is also trained in Somatic Yoga (a/k/a Hannah Somatics) and has found her clients' success rates in healing complex issues is much higher with the combination of this modality and massage therapy. Grace loves to find solutions for her clients and looks forward to working with you!
